Stay safe with silica

Doctors have called silicosis the most serious workplace lung disease threat since asbestos.

While any cutting of stone creates risk of silica exposure, new types of stone kitchen benchtops being imported into Australia have up to 95% more silica than we’ve seen previously. This has created a serious risk for workers who cut and install these benches.
